Case history of patients successfully treated for ADD in our clinic
An adult male of 36 years came to our clinic with Attention Deficit Disorder. Patient came to us after his wife moved out of the house because of his issues and he was not trying to fix them. Patient said, he had always been restless and was depressed with procrastination and difficulty in concentrating in his work. He wanted to escape from his life as everything was unbearable. He had difficulty in organizing, inability to focus on work or relationships, inability to follow through with his plans and had an addictive personality. He slept well, but didn’t feel refreshed in the morning and always felt fatigued. He liked stimulants like coffee and cigarettes and they generally calmed him down. He lived in constant fear of someone entering his house or losing the people he loved. He checked the doors and windows many times before going to bed. The thought of protecting his wife made him feel better. He also complained of dry mouth even after drinking plenty of water and involuntary urination. Very irritable by nature and everything had to be his way. He would go into a rage if things don’t go his way and says things that he would feel remorseful later. He couldn’t accept criticisms and would fail in his tasks purposely if criticized. He couldn’t sit in a place and had to pace around even during the consultation. He felt easily frustrated and was always on the edge. Patient felt that he didn’t have the energy to do his work or work on his relationship with his wife. But he loved his wife and wanted to get better and make the relationship work again.
The patient was given a remedy that covered his personality and problems. At the first month follow up, the patient felt his focus was better mainly because he wasn’t procrastinating anymore and also said that he was being more organized now even though he still doesn’t like it, he does. His sleep was sound and he felt refreshed in the morning, the dry mouth and energy was much better. His involuntary urination was the same. If he had to multiple things, he felt intimidated and couldn’t focus then, but is able to focus and follow through on single tasks. Because the patient was doing well with the remedy, the strength of the remedy was increased to hasten the cure. The patient continued to improve with the remedy and after 6 months of follow ups, the patient didn’t have problems with concentration, depression or procrastination. The constant fear was much better and he said, he felt more balanced and grounded and calm.
A child aged 12 years was brought by his parent to our office with a diagnosis of ADHD. He was unable to sit in the office for more than a few minutes. He was constantly on the move and was very restless and fidgety. The parent said that he had difficulty in communicating his thoughts along with difficulty in concentrating at school and was unable to carry through his day's work. He was prescribed Ritalin by his Pediatrician, but since he started taking the medication, he had loss of appetite, loss of sleep and his personality had changed too. The parents were very concerned and wanted to find a alternative to drugs that was safe and natural. The child on enquiring at the office was found to be on a fast food diet with cravings for sugary foods. He was prescribed a homeopathic remedy along with advise to incorporate fruits and vegetables in his diet and cut back on fast foods. He was also advised to refrain from foods containing artificial colors, preservatives, additives and artificial sweetners. In 3 months time, the child started showing improvement in his restlessness and concentration. His concentration improved and he was getting good grades at school. He also announced that he had more energy, calmness and problem solving skills.

When my son was diagnosed with ADD I was out of sorts. As per his physician's instructions/prescription I started him on concerta after which he began losing sleep, losing appetite and also had a dry mouth problem. It was heart-wrenching and then I decided to try homeopathy. Dr. Sowmya Sridharan is a blessing. She first assured me that ADD has a cure and put my fears to rest. Before she prescribed him any medication, she gathered a lot of information through her detailed questionnaire. He is being treated by her since the last one year and I see considerable progress with his focus at school. He is an honor student and is turning out to be a confident teenager. He is on the road to recovery and we believe that he will shortly be weaned off the medication. Thanks to Dr. Sridharan for her genuine concern for my child.
